KATHMANDU, JAN 02 – A meeting of the top leaders has not yet taken place two days after Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang floated a proposal to reach to consensus within four days or to give him right to bring primary draft of the constitution if consensus was not likely.
CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli’s personal secretary Ramesh Acharya said that there is no information on top leaders’ meeting time.
The leaders had pledged to hold serious discussions for consensus on constitution when CA Chairman Nembang floated the proposal among top leaders at the meeting of business advisory committee on Thursday.
It is learnt that UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had left for Dhading district to attend a programme immediately after the meeting and other parties’ leaders were also busy in other works.
Though the meeting of the top leaders could take place today with their presence in Kathmandu, it has remained elusive as the meeting time is yet to be fixed.
Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are positive to the Nembang’s proposal but there is reservation from UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Front. RSS
